With ALL correct responses and by being less than an hour late, his AP or LP would be 9 1/10 at the end of the Event. With ANY incorrect response or by being an hour or more late to the Date, his AP or LP at the end of the Event would be barely at 9. I replayed the 1st Date Event again and again to test all the responses and their affects on his Affection. It was only on the fifth try that he truly accepted and told me to meet him in the Town Square at 10.00 a.m. The first time I asked him for a Date, he initially accepted but then said he could not do it tomorrow after all because he was busy. I therefore was able to replay the Event. I saved my game in one slot BEFORE I made the Declaration. It was only on 26 Winter that I finally was able to make my Declaration of Love, to have it accepted and then to ask him for a Date. In any case, there was no opportunity to ask Leon to experience the Christmas Festival with me, because I had to complete the Town Event first. This is characteristic of Rune Factory in general when events cause one to skip years. No crops had been affected by the passage of a year. after the credits and game false ending, it was the morning of 24 Winter in the 2nd year. In other words, I defeated him in the morning of 24 Winter. the Festival is significant only if you can experience it with a sweetheart.Īfter defeating Ethelberd, the game moved forward to the 2nd year but it was the SAME date. It appears that one cannot wish upon a star alone. and it takes a few days to complete this one, so I was frustrated in my desire to experience the Christmas Festival with him. Unfortunately, at this point in time, he was in the middle of a Town Event that was centred on him: 'Day in the Life of Leon'.
It does not appear that moving forward in the plot raised his LP in the least. Leon was almost at 9 Hearts at that point. I finished off Ethelberd on 24 Winter of the first year in the game in which I was courting Leon. Arthur told me to meet him on the day of the Winter Harvest Festival to hear his response to my Declaration of Love. The fact that the day of the proposed Date will be a Festival Day, if it is not a Romantic Festival, is NOT an occasion for a refusal for a Declaration of Love, so I cannot imagine it would be for a Date. Certainly you will not have a positive response from your intended if he/she is involved in a Town Event in the same way that you will be unable to ask the individual to accompany you on 'an adventure' during a Town Event in which he/she is a participant. I believe that there are certain situations that would preclude acceptance completely. What is interesting here is that acceptance of your invitation to go on a Date once you officially are 'sweethearts' appears to be utterly random. which is a bit unsettling frankly as I for one felt I was being terribly dishonest in having every one address me as sweetheart or darling and responding positively to my statement that I loved him/her! When they accept your Declaration, their names will be highlighted in Pink and they will offer to use a special endearment.

Until this Event occurs, you are free to make as many Declarations of Love as you wish and go out on Dates with other Bachelors. It is after you experience this Event that marriage will occur.
Even if the heart level is higher, you will receive that response if the individual is involved currently in any Town Event.Īfter you have gone on three Dates and have the required Items needed for marriage, you must experience a special Event with the Bachelor or Eligible Girl of your choice. Before you reach a minimum of 7 Hearts with any Bachelor/Eligible Girl, your Declaration of Love will be treated as a prank or jest. Once you have made your Declaration of Love and have had it accepted, you must go on three Dates with the love of your life. You do need the usual items in order to marry, including the Double Bed and an Engagement Ring, but there is a Date Requirement as well. Courtship is a little different in Rune Factory 4.
